mining-pool-btc.com-blocked-users-from-russia

The BTC.com mining pool has suspended the registration of new users from Russia since March 5 2022 and also restricted access to the service for persons from this region.

When you try to connect to the pool from the Russian IP address BTC.com gives the following notification:

“Your region does not support the BTC.com service. If you are located or your company was established/registered in mainland China or Russia, or if you are a citizen/resident of these countries, you are prohibited from accessing our services.”

Users with other IP addresses are asked to confirm that they are not citizens of sanctioned countries, which include Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria and Russia.

BTC.com is a fairly large Bitcoin pool. In the context of the last three months, it accounts for 6.5% of the total hashrate of the first cryptocurrency.
