Europe’s first metaverse-themed exchange-traded fund (ETF), the ETC Group Global Metaverse UCITS ETF (METR), has been listed on the London Stock Exchange. The ETF will track Solactive ETC Group’s global index, which offers access to 51 companies from the metaverse industry, the release says.
Companies featured in the index, work in the areas of virtual, augmented reality, 3d graphics, semiconductors, wireless communications, online games, video streaming, blockchain technology, including NFT, and related cloud storage.
This is the second thematic ETF from the ETC Group in collaboration with HANetf. Previously, the ETC Group Digital Assets & Blockchain Equity ETF (KOIN) was launched, which provides access to digital assets and companies in the blockchain ecosystem, including cryptominers, as well as companies related to cryptocurrency trading.
