Americans Will Create A Bitcoin Killer
Scientists from major US universities will launch a new cryptocurrency called Unit-e in the second half of 2019. It will be able to carry out 10 thousand transactions per second.
Researchers from the seven largest American universities, including Stanford and Massachusetts universities, took part in the development of the new digital currency. Distributed Technology Research fund has allocated money for the creation of a new altcon. The developers make a broad statement, saying that the new cryptocurrency will be better than bitcoin and that it will process transactions quicker. To speed up transactions, each element of the entire blockchain will be improved. Today, the speed of the bitcoin network is up to 7 transactions per second, and the speed of the ether network reaches 30 transactions. Visa payment network can process 1700 financial transactions per second. Americans want to surpass all these projects by creating a heavy-duty network for Unit-e, capable of performing up to 10 thousand operations simultaneously.
Experts say that bitcoin has a number of restrictions – they prevent the mass addition of this digital currency. One of them is the low speed of transactions. If these restrictions are not removed, bitcoin will remain a beautiful theory, while not the most practically successful project.
