The number of ICO campaigns which ended in Q4, 2018, increased to 594, but average investment amount decreased to $6.7 million.
According to new ICObench rating service’s report, the number of ICO campaigns which ended in Q4, 2018, increased to 594, (it was 554 in Q3). At the same time, the number of projects who launched the ICO but did not manage to raise money also increased in Q4. The number of projects who successfully finished the ICO remains at the same level, reports CoinTelegraph.
According to ICObench report, the total amount of money raised in Q4 is $1.4 billion (in comparison, it was $1.8 billion in Q3). Average investment amount decreased to $6,7 million in comparison with $8,9 million in Q3.
ICObench report also notes that 88% of projects who filled in applications for participation in the ICO were eager to get investments in Ethereum (ETH). As the rating agency notes, Ethereum rate dropped by almost 43% in comparison with November, 2018. This decreased strongly influenced final financial performance – amount of funds raised decreased in Q4. This is a real reason of “drop” of financial performance of ICO market.
