Citizens Of North Europe Can Buy ETH Via Opera Android Browser

Opera browser developers added new features to product’s mobile version: not it is possible to buy crypto currencies. A new feature is available for citizens of Sweden, Norway and Denmark. These countries’ citizens will be able to buy ETH via the browser.
The feature was implemented as a result of cooperation of Opera and Safello broker firm. The press release of developer company says that the broker is registered by Swiss regulator.
As it has already been said, a new service is needed for immediate purchase of Ethereum via the browser on mobile devices. It is possible to make payment with the help of credit and debit cards, without creation of special accounts on payment services. The only requirement is signing in for BnkaID identification system in Sweden and Norway or NemID in Denmark.
It is worth noting that the commission charged is relatively high and reaches 7%, however, it will be reduced for the first time: to 2.5% in Sweden, to 5% in Norway and Denmark.
Charles Hamel, the product manager of Opera Crypto, is sure that the service will contribute to wide adoption of crypto currency because it simplifies purchase process for regular users. In addition, according to Hamel, the service should attract the developers who are eager to promote crypto currencies and who will be able to create other products basing on this service and complying with web 3.0 concept.
To recap, Opera announced implementation of a crypto wallet in December, 2018. The wallet is designed for ETH only because this crypto currency’s blockchain is the most popular one for blockchain app development. The wallet is available only on android now, however, the developers promise to release versions for other OS, too. Also, note that Opera protected its browsers from hidden crypto currency browser recently.
