The Media: Well-Known American Universities Invested Tens Of Millions In Cryptocurrencies
Harvard University, Stanford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology invested tens of millions of USD in cryptocurrencies via the funds controlled by them, reports The Information referring to the sources familiar with the matter.
It is noted that Dartmouth College and the University of North Carolina have also bought digital cryptocurrencies and shares of cryptocurrency companies.
The source of the media outlet did not reveal the exact amount of investment.
To recap, it became known earlier that one more Ivy League representative, Yale University, had invested in a cryptocurrency hedge fund Paradigm, created by a co-founder of Coinbase Fred Ehrsam, former partner of Sequoia Capital Matt Huang and former employee of cryptocurrency fund Pantera Capital Charles Noyes.
