In China, a Man Was Sentenced to 3.5 Years For Mining

A resident of China Xu Xinghua was arrested for illegal use of electric power of local railway networks for mining.
At the moment, the details of the investigation are not disclosed. According to rumors, Xinghua “stole” electricity from Chinese railways for 15 thousand dollars. The miner was fined 14.5 thousand dollars and sentenced to 3.5 years in prison. The man has mined about 3.2 BTC, which is equal to about 20 thousand euros at the current rate.
Police has seized mining equipment from Xinghua. It is assumed that he began mining digital coins with China’s railway network electricity at the end of last year, when a record bitcoin exchange rate was recorded.
