BitPay CCO: Bitcoin will rebound in 2019, alt-coins never will come back

The Chief Commercial Officer of global crypto payment processor BitPay said that altcoins “will never come back,” while Bitcoin (BTC) will “rebound” in 2019, in an interview with Bloomberg September 12.

Sonny Singh, the Chief Commercial Officer of BitPay, stated in his interview to Bloomberg that his company «has never been more optimistic about cryptocurrency» and the implementation and development of infrastructure is currently on regardless the 80% market crash.

However, Singh pointed out that the infrastructure development was mostly focused on Bitcoin and he is expecting something bigger from this particular cryptocurrency.

Singh was mostly bearish on altcoins. Singh said that altcoins «will never come back» to their previous levels, stating that firms like Fidelity and BlackRock are «not going to launch altcoin products, they’re going to launch Bitcoin products.»

He expects the main growth to happen in the medium term, most probably in 2019.
