The Proportion of Professional Players in the Field of Mining has Increased

Mining has ceased to be exclusively for amateur enthusiasts who assemble farms on their balconies, and finally emerged as an independent area of professional activity.

This is evidenced by the “Gorbushkin Dvor” analytical center research. Researchers interviewed sellers of equipment for mining and computer accessories, that are presented in the hypermole. It turned out that the structure of demand has changed – much more often purchases are made by professional players and regular customers. The approach to mining also has change – farms are no longer installed in homes and offices, but in specially prepared premises.
According to the survey, the volume of demand has stabilized. However, now the equipment is purchased not for home mining, but for installation in mining hotel-rooms where anyone can install their own equipment for a fee and not worry about the quality of the Internet, fire safety, possible overload of the power network, payment of electricity bills and other issues arising during home mining.

Despite the enlargement of the market and the fall in the value of cryptocurrencies, now is a good time to enter the mining market. After the boom in demand, when prices of ASIC miners had been measured in thousands of dollars, their price fell several times. For example, half a year ago ANTMINER S9 could be purchased for 200-250 thousand rubles, now its price ranges around 60 thousand. At the same time, the average yield, which it demonstrates, today is about 10 percent per month. Similar indicators have farms on powerful video cards configured for Ethereum mining. It should also be noted that both Radeon and Nvidia have released special graphics cards for mining.
