In the Stasis Group Called the Fraudulent 80% of ICO
Investors in digital assets are afraid of new threatening statistics – the Stasis Group called 80% of ICO held last year fraudulent. However, if you look at the amount of money received by crooks, the ratio is much less terrible – they got about 11 % (1.34 billion).
The lion’s share fell only on two projects – the American cryptobank Arisebank, who managed, according to their own statements, to attract 600 million before the US law enforcement agencies stopped its activities, and the little-known Vietnamese startup Pincoin, which got 660 million. Given that such a large fraud in case of disclosure should have raised a strong wave of discontent of deceived investors, which we did not see, it can be assumed that the real damage was somewhat less.
However, it is hard to ignore that the share of fraudulent ICO projects is quite high.
